By November 27, 2009No Comments

There is nothing grosser than seeing Jim Calhoun in Hi-Def chewing his cud on TV. That being said Duke and UCONN put in work at MSG tonight, good game, will definitely pay dividends for both teams. Duke benefits from playing a Big East team. Big East teams are always build for toughness, Duke needed a scrappy effort from Jon Scheyer, Brian Zoubek, Lance Thomas. Duke rebounded well in this game.

Duke had to win this game without the normal point production of Kyle Singler who was shut down by UCONN and by foul trouble. He was only able to manage 6 points on 2 of 12 shooting. Singler was able to pull down 7 rebounds.

Duke did get 11 rebounds from Brian Zoubek and 10 from Lance Thomas who also had 11 points and 3 blocks. Duke also got 11 points off the bench from Andre Dawkins who was able to hit on 2 for 3 from 3.

More a little later, good win for Duke, NIT CHAMPS
