2016 combo guard Frank Jackson surprised a lot of people when he decided after his visit with the Duke Blue Devils that he’s seen enough and was ready to make his college choice. Jackson has seen his stock soar during the summer circuit and with it came Duke interest.

Jackson announced Tuesday that he would indeed end his recruitment and commit to the Duke Blue Devils despite a crowded back-court. Son of State Senator Al Jackson, Frank originally committed to BYU in his freshman year but as his stock began to rise to elite level, more opportunities arose and Jackson decommitted and opened his recruitment. Jackson settled on a final four of Duke, Utah ,BYU and Stanford before ultimately committing to Coach K and Duke.  Jackson is a deadly mix of skill and athleticism, able to finish above the rim with east but also knock down shots out to 3 point range. Jackson is a versatile guard that can play both positions and is a born scorer.

The 6’3, 190 pound guard out of Utah joins small forward Jayson Tatum as part of Duke’s 2016 class.
